Kirsten, our Business Development Manager here at the Global Safety Directory, had a great time at the Women in Property PPE Showcase last night at Brockholes Nature Reserve, organised by Work Boutique.
Set against the stunning backdrop of a former quarry, the event featured a fabulous array of PPE and workwear designed specifically for the female form. Some standout ranges include the Venus Core SB from Venus Workwear, the PULSAR® Protect women’s hi-vis collection, and the ‘Sophie’ boot collection created by Sophie Lydia Perkins with Amblers Safety.Â
The evening celebrated recent strides being made towards inclusivity across the health and safety industry, with a focus on women’s workwear and PPE following the creation of the UK BS 30417 standard in 2025. That’s why the work of pioneering product developers like Fae Gordon Holliday from Venus Workwear, Helen Thornley from PULSAR®, and Sophie Lydia Perkins is so important – and it was great to hear guest speakers talk about their experiences as women fighting for equality in this industry.
We hope to see even more progress towards inclusivity for all in the safety sphere in the coming years! Thank you to all those involved with the organisation of this event.
